Funnels
GoHighLevel gives you unlimited funnels on the $97 plan. Not "unlimited on the enterprise tier" — unlimited on the entry plan, with hosting, a custom domain, split testing, and payments included. That pricing is the reason a lot of ClickFunnels users looked at GoHighLevel in the first place. Whether the editor is as pleasant to use is a separate question, and the honest answer is: not quite.
What the funnel builder actually does
A funnel in GoHighLevel is an ordered set of steps, each step being a page. A typical local-business funnel is two steps: an offer page with a form, and a booking page with a calendar. A typical info-product funnel is five: opt-in, sales page, order form with a bump, one-click upsell, thank-you page.
The editor
Drag-and-drop, section/row/column based, with the usual element library — text, images, video, buttons, countdown timers, testimonials, FAQ accordions, forms, surveys, calendars, custom HTML and custom code. Responsive controls let you set different padding, font sizes, and visibility per device. It is competent. It is also, at times, fiddly in the way that all column-based builders are, and anyone coming from Webflow or Framer will find it primitive.
Payments and offers
Connect Stripe and the funnel gains order forms, order bumps (the checkbox on the checkout that adds a second product), one-click upsells and downsells after purchase, coupons, subscriptions, and split payments. Every purchase lands on the contact record, and payment received is a workflow trigger — so the receipt, the onboarding sequence, the pipeline move, and the internal Slack notification all fire without an integration.
Split testing
You can create variants of a step and split traffic between them, with conversion tracked per variant. It is a straightforward A/B test — no multivariate, no statistical-significance calculator, no automatic traffic allocation. Enough to answer "does the shorter headline win?" Not enough to run a serious experimentation programme.
Funnel templates and cloning
There is a native template library, and the wider ecosystem sells thousands more inside snapshots. The practical agency workflow is: build the chiropractor funnel once, get it converting, freeze it in a snapshot, and deploy it to every chiropractor client in about ten minutes. You can also copy a funnel between sub-accounts directly. Images uploaded to funnel pages travel with the snapshot; client-specific assets — logo, team photos — you swap after deployment.
Who it is for
- Agencies running paid traffic for clients. Unlimited funnels across unlimited sub-accounts, cloned from a snapshot, all feeding one CRM. This is the use case the feature was designed for.
- Local businesses running an offer — a free consult, a $49 new-patient special, a quote request. Two pages and a calendar, live in an afternoon.
- Coaches and course sellers who want checkout, upsells, and a membership area without paying for ClickFunnels and Kajabi and a CRM.
It is not for anyone whose page is the product — a design studio, a brand-led DTC launch, an editorial site. Use Webflow or Framer, and point the form at GoHighLevel through the API or a form embed.
Funnels vs buying ClickFunnels
ClickFunnels is a better funnel builder. GoHighLevel is a better business to run a funnel inside, because the follow-up lives in the same system. Pick accordingly.

Where funnels fall short
- The editor is the weakest part. Nested column layouts get awkward, spacing controls are inconsistent across element types, and mobile overrides sometimes need to be set element by element. Expect to spend longer on a polished page than you would in ClickFunnels, Leadpages, or any modern visual builder.
- Page speed is mediocre out of the box. Pages ship a fair amount of script and unoptimised imagery unless you are careful. If Core Web Vitals matter to you — and for paid traffic quality scores they should — compress everything, avoid heavy embeds, and test before you spend money on ads pointing at it.
- Split testing is shallow. Two variants, one metric, no significance testing. Do not confuse it with an experimentation platform.
- SEO control is limited. Title, description, canonical, Open Graph, and a custom domain — that is the extent of it. Structured data beyond the basics means dropping in custom code, and there is no content model to speak of. Do not build your organic strategy on funnels; see the website builder for the honest read on that.
- Templates vary wildly in quality. The snapshot marketplace is full of funnels built in 2021 that look it. Audit before you deploy one to a client.
- Export is not really possible. A funnel built here stays here. You can copy it between GoHighLevel accounts; you cannot lift it out to another platform. Price that lock-in in before you rebuild a client's entire acquisition on it.
The honest summary
If you are choosing a funnel builder purely on the merits of the builder, ClickFunnels or Leadpages will make you happier. If you are choosing where your funnel, your forms, your calendar, your CRM, and your SMS follow-up all live, GoHighLevel wins on integration and on price — and it is not close, because unlimited funnels on the $97 plan undercuts the entire category.

Frequently asked questions
- What is a GoHighLevel funnel?
- A funnel is a sequence of pages with a single conversion goal — typically an opt-in page, then a thank-you or booking page, sometimes with an order form, an order bump, and one-click upsells in between. GoHighLevel builds them with a drag-and-drop editor, hosts them on your domain, and wires every submission straight into the CRM and your automations, with no plugin or integration in between.
- How many funnels can I build in GoHighLevel?
- Unlimited, on every plan including the $97 Starter — unlimited funnels, unlimited pages, unlimited traffic, and hosting included. That is a genuine difference from ClickFunnels, whose lower tiers historically capped funnels, pages, and in some cases monthly visitors.
- What is the difference between a funnel and a website in GoHighLevel?
- They use the same page editor. The difference is structure: a funnel is an ordered series of steps with one goal and no navigation, so the visitor either converts or leaves. A website has a nav menu, many pages, and multiple purposes. Use a funnel for a campaign or an offer; use the website builder for the business's permanent site.
- Does GoHighLevel have funnel templates?
- Yes — there is a built-in template library, plus a much larger ecosystem of third-party funnel templates that ship inside snapshots. Any funnel you build can also be cloned into another sub-account with a snapshot, which is how agencies deploy the same proven funnel across every client in a vertical.
- Can I take payments in a GoHighLevel funnel?
- Yes. Connect Stripe (or PayPal, or several regional processors) and you get order forms, order bumps, one-click upsells and downsells, coupon codes, and subscription products, all recorded against the contact in the CRM. Payment received is also an automation trigger, so fulfilment and onboarding can fire immediately.
- Are GoHighLevel funnels good for SEO?
- Adequate for a landing page, not for a content strategy. You get per-page title, meta description, canonical, and Open Graph fields, plus a custom domain. What you do not get is fine-grained schema control, a serious content model, or the plugin ecosystem WordPress has. If organic search is the primary channel, build the content site elsewhere and use funnels for the conversion pages.
